Aluminum Deoxidizer
 
Aluminum is one of the very strong and commonly used deoxidizer in steel making. It also finds use as a deoxidizer, grain refiner, nitride former and alloying agent in steels. Its ability to scavenge nitrogen and promote the formation of "pancake" ferrite grains led to its widespread use in drawing quality steels, especially for automotive applications. Also aluminum improves strength in low-carbon steels by fixing the interstitial nitrogen.
We produce and supply aluminum deoxidizer in the form of shots, pellets, wire rods and any other shape suitable for use in the manufacture of iron, steel and ferro alloys. We offer three grades of Aluminum Deoxidizer, namely Grade 1; Grade 2 and Grade 3. Aluminum Deoxidizer Grade 1 is normally suitable for the manufacturing of mild steel and low alloy steels, whereas Aluminum Deoxidizer Grade 2 is normally required for manufacturing of alloy steels and special steels. Aluminum Deoxidizer Grade 3 is used for ferro alloy production. 
The Aluminum Deoxidizer has to be of uniform quality, free from dross, slag and other harmful contaminants.

Application: 

1. Used as a deoxidizer and alloying agent in the steelmaking industry. Ferrosilicon inoculant is an indispensable deoxidant in the steelmaking process. A small amount of ferrosilicon inoculant can be used to precipitate and diffuse oxygen in molten steel during the steelmaking process. The finished steel is of good quality and high hardness.

 

1. Used as inoculant and nodulizer in the cast iron industry. Adding a certain amount of ferrosilicon to cast iron can prevent the formation of carbides in iron and promote the precipitation and spheroidization of graphite. Therefore, ferrosilicon is an important inoculant (to help precipitate graphite) and nodulizer in the production of ductile iron.
